A new job comes with a new desk that has nothing on it yet. A small stone is an easy first thing to put there; it personalises the space and gives you something to look at between tasks.
Choose between a desk piece and a carry piece: one that stays at work, or one that goes in a bag for the interview and the first few mornings.

How to give it
A polished tower or a small cluster looks deliberate on an office desk in a way a rough chunk does not. Pair it with the care card so it does not get washed under a tap by mistake.

It is also an amplifier: set it beside another crystal and it lifts whatever that stone is doing. Keep it on a desk or a shared shelf where it can work the whole room. Quartz is hardy; a cool rinse and a soft cloth are enough, with a night under the moon once a month. Every cluster carries a natural veil or hairline inside — that is how you know it is real stone.

The merchant's stone, Dadi called it: for fresh beginnings, open doors and money that keeps moving. She pressed one into your palm whenever you started something new. Keep it on the work desk or in the cash drawer, point upward. Citrine takes gentle morning sunlight well; otherwise a cool rinse and a night under the moon once a month is plenty. A printed report from the Gem Testing Laboratory in Jaipur travels with it, confirming it is natural with no dye or heat treatment.
