Crystals for new job

For the new desk, and the nerve to walk in on day one.

A new job comes with a new desk that has nothing on it yet. A small stone is an easy first thing to put there; it personalises the space and gives you something to look at between tasks.

Choose between a desk piece and a carry piece: one that stays at work, or one that goes in a bag for the interview and the first few mornings.

When to give it: On accepting the offer, or as a first-day or promotion gift.

What to give

  • Citrine

Long called the merchant's stone. The piece people put on a work desk or a new venture for a hopeful start.

  • Tiger's Eye

A carry stone for the interview and the first week; worn traditionally for standing your ground.

  • Clear Quartz

For focus at a new desk with a lot to learn quickly.

  • Black Tourmaline

Kept between a person and a screen; a grounding piece for a stressful stretch.

How to give it

A polished tower or a small cluster looks deliberate on an office desk in a way a rough chunk does not. Pair it with the care card so it does not get washed under a tap by mistake.

Full Moon Kit — illustrationNatural stone · lab-checked

Full Moon Kit

Everything Dadi laid out on the sill the night the moon came full: a hand-cut selenite plate to rest your other stones on, a clear quartz point to hold one clear wish, a printed almanac of the year's full moons, and a method card in plain steps. On the night, set your crystals on the plate, hold the quartz, and name one thing you are ready to let go of and one you are calling in — then leave the plate out until morning. Never wash the selenite: it draws water in and begins to crumble, so just dust it with a dry cloth. A whole ritual in a box, and the kit we are proudest of.

Ghar ki Potli — for a home

The bundle Dadi pressed into your hands when you moved into a new place. Black tourmaline for the threshold, to keep the day's noise on the doorstep; clear quartz for the room where everyone gathers; and selenite to keep the air feeling swept and light. All three sit in a drawstring cloth potli with a selenite bar to rest them on, and a card in her hand telling you where each one goes. Keep tourmaline and selenite away from water — dust them, and set the potli in the moonlight once a month. Not magic, just a warm way to mark a fresh start.

Safar ki Potli — for someone leaving

For the one packing a bag — hostel, a first job, a new city, a flight. Tiger's eye for nerve on the first hard day, black obsidian to feel steady underfoot, and rose quartz so they carry a little tenderness with them too. Three tumbled stones in a cloth potli, a selenite bar to keep them clear, and a card in Dadi's hand. Dadi never let anyone leave the house empty-handed; this is that, in a bundle you can post. Rest the stones on the selenite or in the moonlight now and then. A keepsake, not a charm.

Clear Quartz ClusterNatural stone · lab-checked

Clear Quartz Cluster

A raw clear quartz cluster from the Himalayan foothills, cleansed under moonlight before it left our hands. The master healer, Dadi called it — for a clear head on a cluttered day, steady focus, and a fresh start. It is also an amplifier: set it beside another crystal and it lifts whatever that stone is doing. Keep it on a desk or a shared shelf where it can work the whole room. Quartz is hardy; a cool rinse and a soft cloth are enough, with a night under the moon once a month. Every cluster carries a natural veil or hairline inside — that is how you know it is real stone.

Citrine PointNatural stone · lab-checked

Citrine Point

A hand-polished citrine point, warm as afternoon sun and a soft, even lemon-honey gold — natural citrine, not heat-treated amethyst. The merchant's stone, Dadi called it: for fresh beginnings, open doors and money that keeps moving. She pressed one into your palm whenever you started something new. Keep it on the work desk or in the cash drawer, point upward. Citrine takes gentle morning sunlight well; otherwise a cool rinse and a night under the moon once a month is plenty. A printed report from the Gem Testing Laboratory in Jaipur travels with it, confirming it is natural with no dye or heat treatment.

Clear Quartz Tumbled StoneNatural stone · lab-checked

Clear Quartz Tumbled Stone

A clear quartz tumbled stone, bright as spring water and cool in the hand even in a warm room. The master healer, Dadi called it — for a clear head, steady focus, and a fresh start on a cluttered day. It is also an amplifier: carry it alongside another crystal and it lifts whatever that stone is doing, which makes it the natural first stone to own. Cool water and a soft cloth are enough, with a night under the moon once a month. Look closely and you will see a faint veil or hairline inside — that is how you know it is real quartz, not glass.
