Rose quartz is the heart stone, beta. Dadi reached for it for tenderness: going easy on yourself, softening after a quarrel, leaving room for love to arrive and stay. Keep it where you rest, or carry a small piece in a pocket. This is old household lore, not medicine, but the reminder to be gentle does its own quiet work.

Real rose quartz is a soft, cloudy pink (never bright bubblegum), and the colour lies unevenly through the stone, paler in places. It stays cool in the hand for a moment before it warms. Glass copies look too clear, too even, and often hide tiny round bubbles.

A quick rinse under cool running water is enough, then pat it dry. Once a month, leave it on a windowsill overnight in the moonlight, or rest it on a piece of selenite. Keep it away from harsh soap and long hours of hot sun, which can fade the pink over the years.

Every day is fine; that is what it is for. Slip it off before you shower, swim or exercise, so the elastic and the stones last longer. Sleeping in it is your choice; some like amethyst close at night, others prefer to rest the wrist. Wipe it now and then with a dry cloth.

    Nice bracelet, one bead a little off-round
