Amethyst Tower

Natural stone · lab-checked
A polished amethyst tower, six faces climbing to a point, the violet running darker near the tip and softer towards the base the way natural amethyst always does. Dadi kept the calming stones where the evening slows down — people reach for amethyst to quiet an overthinking mind, unwind after a long day, and sleep a little easier. The tower gathers that settling feeling and lifts it into the room, so give it a bedside table or a wind-down corner; in Vastu the north-east suits it. Point upward and leave it be. Rinse briefly, pat dry, and rest it on selenite or in the moonlight once a month; keep it out of a bright window, as long sun fades the violet. A gentle evening ritual, not a cure.

Dadi's note: A new stone likes a moment to settle. Give it a rinse, set it on the sill in the moonlight, and let it feel like yours before you ask anything of it.

Questions about this stone

Amethyst is the stone Dadi kept by the bed, for restless nights and a mind that will not settle. People reach for it to unwind in the evening, steady the breath, and feel a little calmer than the room around them. Treat it as a gentle evening ritual, not a cure.

Natural amethyst wears its colour unevenly: deeper at the tips of the points, paler towards the base, sometimes faintly banded when you turn it to the light. It feels cool, and a touch heavy for its size. Dyed glass is one flat purple all the way through and may hold small bubbles.

Rinse briefly in cool water and pat dry. Once a month, set it out overnight under the moon, or leave it resting on selenite between uses. Keep amethyst out of long, direct sunlight; its violet slowly fades in a bright window.

Descriptions of what stones are “for” reflect traditional folklore, not medical fact.
